Unfortunately, I only got to know Les towards the end of his earthly life; even so, he made a great impression on me with his patience, courage, wisdom & humour. You only had to be in his presence to feel his generosity of Soul & what a lovely Aura he had. They say you can measure the purpose/meaning of your life by the people you leave behind - if this is true Les would have to find a very long tape measure indeed to measure all the lives he touched & enriched. It’s difficult to be so wise without being pompous but Les had the knack of tempering everything with such a wonderful sense of mischievous humour that you were so busy laughing the wisdom only struck you with full force afterwards. I will always regret that I didn’t have more time to get to know him better, I will always be grateful that I got to know him even for a short while & for the help/wisdom he shared with me.
